Students will receive personalized training at each lesson to build strong fundamental skills in sound production, tone, technique, embouchure, phrasing, breathing, posture, and more. In addition, students will be taught strong theory and aural skills.

Students will be provided with

 weekly structured lesson plans to aid with organization and planning their practicing.

Students will be instructed and prepared for school ensemble placement auditions, honor band auditions, youth orchestra auditions, summer camps, competitions, and exams!

In addition, all students will have access to resources such as FREE audio and video recording services for auditions.


    Jennifer is passionate about teaching and and has been tutoring students of all ages in various subjects (Flute, Piano, English/Writing, Math, History) for over 9 years in the San Francisco Bay Area and Pittsburgh.

    Other teaching/leadership experience include being an RA (Resident Assistant) in the freshmen dorms at the CMU Office of Residential Education from 2017-19, Public Relations and Marketing Chair for her university's community service organization, Alpha Phi Omega, and Section Leader for her high school's marching band from 2013-15.

    As a native California student with first-hand experience, Jennifer is well-acquainted with the school ensemble systems, Regional and All-State honor bands, local youth orchestras, and state ensemble festivals. Jennifer is also familiar with the Certificate of Merit exam system of music training in California.


    Having extended experience in leading groups of up to 350 students in size, Jennifer is effective in building strong problem-solving, communication, organization,

    time-management, and perseverance skills in her students that are applicable to all aspects of life. Coupled with her background in Psychology with an emphasis on Social Learning, she incorporates proven learning techniques into her lessons to develop effective learning strategies for her students. 

    Her teaching curriculum integrates repertoire spanning of all musical genres, etudes, technical studies, music theory, ear-training, and basic music history. She is committed to helping students achieve their goals, whether they are simply learning for enjoyment or aspiring to win an audition, all while developing their maturity and appreciation for music.
